Different Shade of Green Program
Prepares Veterans for Green Jobs

The New York State Department of Labor
has awarded more than $317,000 to Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County to provide green job training to 120 veterans, many of them veterans with disabilities.

Hemlock Hike 


Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County and the Finger Lakes Land Trust will host a hemlock hike/snowshoe at Carpenter Falls Unique Area and Bahar Preserve on the western shore of Skaneateles Lake. Experience the winter beauty of the forested ravine along Bear Swamp Creek, as we take a close look at the local hemlock trees that line the hillside.

        Different Shade of Green
program, a new

        skills for employment in Central New
